Open Secure Access was formed in March 2006, in response to a series of threats to vital data movement conduits. Since that time, OSA works with third parties, DMS companies, service providers, dealerships and other interested organizations to educate and inform on topics related to data access within automotive retailing.
The Open Secure Access Coalition, a North Carolina non-profit, was formed in 2007. Its non-profit status accurately reflects the organization’s intent to assist industry participants and provide educational opportunities. The group is composed of a group of automotive retail industry participants with a common desire for open, secure access to dealership data.
